Taxi Dining Room

FOOD ENVY is rife in modern day dining, which can leave you staring at a colleague’s plate filled with exotic delights while a poor choice finds you fumbling cos lettuce around. Doing a degustation is the perfect solution, allowing you to taste a large range of dishes that will never have you wondering “oh, what did I miss?”.

Taxi Dining Room is such a great place for this experience with their executive chef, Tony Twitchett, orchestrating a fine range of Asian/Australian influenced dishes that urges you to call your Mum and tell her all about each mouthful. Matching it with wine brings into play another element that I encourage you to take. Sampling premium beverages that are professionally paired to the food characteristics to complete the tastebud disco and turn it into a mosh pit of euphoria.

Taxi, as it is more commonly known, boasts one of the best views in town and for years has been wowing diners with a certain elegant confidence. Sandwiched between the drunken dancers of Transport bar and the cocktail-mistresses of  Transit bar, the sprawling dining room is as polished as the cutlery they place in front of you.

Take my word for it: Do the matched wines with the degustation. Being magically transformed into a foodie might make you feel awkward to start with but at least you get to see what all the fuss is about…
